Learning about mining through play

On March 7, 2018, the renewed mining exhibition of the Janus Pannonius Museum (JPM) in Pécs was opened, where our DIVIT experience terminal system was installed on two touch screen terminals in the renovated exhibition halls.

On one of the terminals you can learn about the construction of mines and shafts, the dangers of mining and how to protect against them, and listen to miners’ reminiscences and stories.

The theme of the giant touch screen terminal is to present the mining sites of Mecsek on the basis of maps, illustrated with photos and descriptions, and to explain the origin and uses of coal and uranium using interactive 3D models. And the most popular content is an interactive game where players can try their hand at sorting barren minerals in competition with each other.
