The 3D viewer module is a greenfield development within the National Building Register. The 3D viewer is an angular module for displaying 3D models, mainly buildings, embedded in a web page. It includes two navigation solutions, a navigation tool called “Viewcube”, a side menu that can be filled with any content, any number of points and a sunlight simulation that takes into account location and time, spherical panorama background, any number and direction of intersections, multiple measurement options, predefined paths, group switching on and off of model elements, and a number of helpers useful for example for admin tasks. It also provides additional tools for creating custom functions. To display the 3d view, it uses the Three.js JavaScript library.
